NO to Halloween Celebration!

Many people celebrates Halloween. Nowadays they call it fun!

I've seen so many parents, especially mothers entice with the idea of partying for Halloween; buying scary costumes and toys, make-up and dressing their children with Halloween costumes; putting on their own kids with horror outfit, the more scary the more fun. But, what is fun and exciting in making yourself or your child scary and horror for Halloween?

No to Halloween Party!     

Today, I received an invitation from the property manager in our subdivision to join a Halloween Party Celebration this coming weekend. The letter invitation said my kids should come with their Halloween costumes, but as a Christian, I already know that I am not suppose to join this party neither my two girls. With no hesitation, I said no to the invitation. 

Yes, I am glad that the homeowners invite us to come for the party since the invitation also stated that it will also give chance to all homeowners to fellowship with one another, but Halloween party is not venue for good fellowship.

Halloween should not be a cause of party. Do not be mislead for satan wants people to praise him by throwing parties by means of Halloween (1 Timothy 4:1-2 demons wants to mislead people by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teaching of demons.)  Halloween focuses on celebration of death and death is satan. 

As Christians we should focus in life and light. As Jaime Morgan, Pastor of Life Church in Williamstown,N.J., give points in his article on charismanews.com Why Christians Absolutely should Not Celebrate Halloween   "God is God of life. but Halloween focuses on death."

What is Halloween? 

According to wikipedia.org Halloween or Hallowe'en a contraction of "All Hallows' Evening", also known as Allhalloween, All Hallows' Eve, or All Saints' Eve, is a yearly celebration observed in a number of countries every 31 October, the eve of the feast of All Hallow Days. The word Holloween itself is a celebration, a feast. 

The typical festive Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, attending scary costume parties, decorating the party venues with horror designs, in America they do decorating and carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, and fortune telling games, playing pranks, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories and watching horror films in many parts of the world.

What is fun or exciting of Halloween? 

In my life time now, I know that beautiful things, wonderful times and happenings in our life comes from the Lord, like Birthdays, Christmas (Birth of Jesus), New Years Eve, it symbolizes life, new beginning, happy memories, excitement, blessings (we are blessed when worship the Lord ~Psalm24:3-6) and love (God is Love ~1 John 4:16). 

What is fun in celebrating death? It gives me heartache and crying every time I remember my parents who past-away due to illnesses. I don't like the idea of celebrating this holiday at all (as part Filipino culture celebration of Halloween to visit the tombs of the dead family every All Saints Day) it only reminds me of pain and sadness. Of course I will always remember and cherish my parents in my heart, I always remember our happy moments together, their wisdom even the sad ones, but I know that they are in good hands now with the Lord no more pain and sufferings. But

I can hardly think of my self on the way to cemetery to visit them during this holiday, it only makes me sad and helpless.

About the Halloween party, whats good in seeing kids with beautiful faces with make-up of a witches just to win a huge pack of candies? I never enjoy the view of kids marching on streets with scary outfits and scary mask for candies. It is not cute at all! 

I am scared to see how parents loved their child be dressed like satan, witches, mummies, dead bodies or Frankenstein. Why will you want your beautiful babies to dress like tiyanak , kapre or Zombies? Butterflies, fairy or dead doll? Why will you dress your little girl with witch or fairy costumes or your little boy with satan clothes and accessorize with horn and black spear? Do you realize that this alone is pleasing satan? This is evil and God hates who do evil ( Psalm26:5) do you want your child to be called a child of satan?

It is not Just a Party

All believers of Jesus Christ should not be part of this Halloween party or celebration because Halloween is holiday of Wiccans (the religion of witchcraft) and we should not participate in it. Witchcraft is detestable to the Lord and we should be blameless before the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:6-14.) 

"A Christian celebrating Halloween would be like satan worshiper putting up a nativity scene at Christmas while singing, happy birthday Jesus!" the two just don't go together. Jesus has nothing in common with satan (2 Cor.6;14) and neither should we." Says Pastor Morgan.

Wake Up 

The Bible clearly says that there is no darkness in Jesus (1 John 1;5) so don't allow the works of darkness to us like celebrating or worshiping the images of death. This celebration does not bring glory to God and we should ascribe to the Lord the glory due him (Psalm29:1-2.) 

So, why waste your time to make efforts on those scary costumes. Our time and worship should be reserved for God alone (Exodus 34:14.) 

All beautiful things comes from the Lord, beautiful kids, beautiful blessings, memories, and seasons. God also gave us so many reasons to celebrate life. Why did you want to add one scary day to it? 

How to fight your weakest, saddest feeling?

I am so down last month. I lost my mom before Christmas and I am not in the mood to write anything, until now I am in the middle of writing and writing not at all but I want share this part of my life experiences with you.
Really cannot think of the right words to share to you now. My blog is all about seeing beautiful things in life, my life experience as mother and wife. Encouraging people to do great things, think beautiful and be positive in everything but now, how can I encourage anyone when I am not okay and sad?
It is almost 40 days since my mom gone but still in process of accepting everything. I mean, I am still in the process of accepting that she is gone forever.

 It is harder when I am alone. God knows how I want to be okey for I need to be okey for my kids. I don't want them to see how sad and hard to loose my mama, I just want them remember their grandmother how she was before she left us, that I want them to see how good it felt and be happy to know that their grandmother is happy with Jesus now. Loosing my mom due to some complications of diabetes, makes me feel so alone and weak, I felt like I never do anything for her.

I am a mother of two girls, my husband is away for his cruise ship photography job.
Whom I can talk to? My three siblings leave abroad to worked several months ago before our mom passed away, I have a sister here who helped me sort things up for funeral and burial  but she also busy with her own mourning and finding way to be okay also for her son. Good friends are good help to see things beautiful again, but I will be sad again when I am alone.

How to be okay? These things help me to smile again.


Read your Bible 
There is no other way to calm my heart and mind but reading my Bible. It always give me the right words of whats happening around me, on what to do, and how to do. Reading my Bible at my weakest days makes me strong again. And it really helps me to think straight again. As God says He comforts his people in our darkest times (Job35:9-10) and went we are weak (Isaiah 40).
As I was telling you that I was very sad as if I do not do anything for my mom. The Bible reminds me that no I am not. The Bible reminds me that I will be comforted when I am mourning (Matthew 5:4)  and while I am in grieve God is with me (2 Corinthians1:3-11),  what is calmer than that, knowing my God is with me while I am sad. And having the assurance that all these feeling of grief will someday end (Revelation 21:3-4).

Always Pray
Whatever happens pray (Ephesians6:18).  I learned that I cannot do anything without God. You may say that it is a cliché but it is true, I cannot be here writing, without Him. I cannot be who I am now without God. I am weak, I am gloomy without Him.
I got operated with my gallbladder when my husband and I still starting our married life together, I lost my house, car and jewelries two years ago and bound to many debts. And last month loosing my mom before Christmas.
So many reasons to be sad and gloomy but still I have many reasons to thank Jesus like before my mom died, my husband and I bought a new house twice as the price of what we lost two years ago. We almost finish paying our debts to our relatives, and just recently my husband got his promotion that will give us financial increase. I have two lovely kids and loving husband. The great I am still lives and still can be bless by God no matter what happen. In my sadness I find joy, by praying I am at peace that everything will be alright because after I pray I find hope that this pain soon will end as God promised.

Plan your day with good things to do
Start the year right. Plan your life with new beginning.
Not that I want to forget my mom, she will always be in my heart, she will always be a part of my family, my life.
I want to think that she's always be here guiding us from heaven, watching us to do better for our own family. I am still here and I need to be okay soon.
Not that I will never be lonely and cry again when I remember my Mama  but when I get lonely or sad I will remember the wisdoms that she thought me and be here for my four siblings for always. I still have them and I know loving them will always make my Mama happy and proud wherever in heaven she is right now.

Talk with positive people
When you are sad it is not healthy to talk to negative people. I mean it is not good to talk or be near with people who will make you more sad and feel weak.
Give yourself space and break with friends or relatives that will pull you down.
It is so amazing but when times are tough you will recognize people that are not good to stay with your life.
When your in your saddest you will see people who will stay to love you and support you more. When times are tough God will leave people that will make you feel safe and been comforted, good news is when the mourning ends you will feel happy to be with those people who stayed at your weakest.
Life is beautiful, don't waste your time for anything that could make you feel imperior and sad.

To my Mama I will love you forever, no words can describe how I missed you and no tears could tell how lonely I am to loose you, but I have faith that I will see you again and someday we will sing with Jesus together.  

Kutless Rock for Jesus in Manila

Last night we have a great time watching Kutless Christian Rock Band in Cathedral of Praise, Auditorium Manila. My heart pound with joy seeing people response to altar call, cried through prayer by our Pastor. It is a great feeling to see people walking through God's call, priceless! For me it is amazing to be in a place where you can see people born again in a jampack Christian concert!

I am blessed to be a member of the church ministry who believes that the word of the Lord need to share to everyone for free, and my family is very fortunate to watch Kutless for free and experience the move of the Lord in Cathedral of Praise.

This is the second time of Kutless in our church and they always make the crowd jump and sing for their every song. This must be proof that they are the number one Christian Rock Band in the world and gaining high respect among christian community. 

During the concert they sing all their hit songs and my personal favorites such as What Faith Can Do , Sea of Faces, Give Us Clean Us, Believer, Even If , Strong Tower and If It Ends Today.
Says who that we cannot rock our praises to God by singing rock songs. I am christian and I rock my praises to my Jesus with my favorite christian rock band like Kutless.  

Saving Money made easy?

 Do you want to save?
Of course everybody want to save, but how to save is a big question. How would you save if you have more unnecessary leaking of money than earning money?

Little by little makes is grow. 
As the Bible says in Proverbs 13:22 Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow. 
You cannot save money if you are not spending it wisely. This proved me true, overspending happens in a small amount of money. Leaking small amounts then realizing later that I have been spending my regular monthly budget to small amounts and when I calculate it already a big amount of cash.
For example I am fan of Starbucks: I always have Starbucks coffee, and everyday I will spend P100 for cup of coffee, I think that coffee is really good and it would be a great  treat for myself if I have one cup everyday. Then time comes that I multiply my P100 Starbucks coffee in 30 days and realized that I spend P3,000 in a month, then  multiply it by 12 month,
equivalent to whooping P36,000 a year just for Starbucks cup of coffee. If I could have been more wiser I might save the P36,000 for future use, now realizing that I have been spending more P36,000 in years of drinking Starbucks coffee.
One motivation I have learn, every time I want to spend a little amount, I put that little amount of money in a wallet where I decided to save money, and every time I put it in a bank I smile because my bank book smiles me back.

Proverbs 21:20 In the house of the wise are stores of choice of food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has. 
The bottom line is save for the rainy days; do not be like one day millionaire, spending all you have earned in a month for one night at the bar.
Proverbs 27:24 for riches do not endure forever, and crown is not secure for all generations.
Do not waste your money on the things you don't need and regret why you have it.
It's like having three or more cellular phones. What do you need for more cellular phones if you are staying at home watching television everyday? Check your lifestyle,  are you a man or a woman that need a lot of calls everyday. If you have more cellular phone you need to have loads, (or Postpaid bills) and electricity by simply maintaining it and it adds extra expenses to your monthly budget.

How to save? 

• Set aside - every week or every month set aside from your weekly or monthly income the needs to be paid like bills, tuition fee, amortization,  tithes, seed, car mortgage, and every monthly needs that need to settle regularly. 
• Set up a budget- of course you cannot spend the money that you don't have. Like the commission income it is not yet cash on hand so you cannot use that yet. Plan your guaranteed income (monthly salary) and fix income every month, this is secured cash on hand that you can use to your expenses. 
• Track your income and your expenses-  the fact is you may not realize you are leaking money because you simply do not see it happening. Money leaks uncontrollably when you are unable to track where it goes.

How to own your own home?

Having your own home is not easy, finding ways to own one is everybody's dream. It feels amazing when you open your own door after long days of work.
The Bible says God promised everyone a house (Deutoronomy6:10). It is God's will for us to have our own houses, vines or businesses to work with and food and water to make us live.

Let me share some good points to inspire you to own a home of  your own:

1. Secure Home 
Having our own  home is one of th best years of my happiness as mom and wife. It is a fullfilment of God's promised that he will give me a home. God make it for my family, iam sure He will do it for you too.
It says in Isaiah 32:18 My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturebed places of rest. Everyone has a promise from God and we can claim it in Jesus name.

2. Your wife and children will florish in a home
It is a promise from God that if we have a home we will florish inside it (Psalm 128:3)
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your son will be like olive shoots around your table.

3. Counting the costs of Renting
Having your own home is a resting on eternal debt of renting. Renting is a cruel form of debt. Every woman deserve a home. Every man deserves a job. It is God desires to gave us home of our own (Psalm 128:13-14).
You will not own anything until you will own your own house. It is like giving all your money
To your landlord. If you own your own house little by little it will guaranteed a savings after years of paying it.

How to have your own house?

• Build Gods House First.  It is a guarantee that if we put Gods house first he will build our too Haggai 1:1-11. 
• Willing to fullfill stages in having your own home. Having your home requires patience. Little by little Gods promise will be fullfill, you need to save and full some strings. 
• Set priorities. As you build your house, build your income first. You need to proiritize your income. Learn to know your priorities in lif, weather you like it or not money matters in having your own home. You need to proiritize ways on having money to  build your home.
• Stop over spending.  Focus your goal to have your own home, over spending will not achieve your goal. no big parties, no vacation first, no to usual eating out that would spend too much! No to shopping every week. No to starbucks coffee everyday.
• Discussion of Risk. Proverbs 4:25-27 Make a Level path. Make your plan straight towards your goal. You dont need to climb mountain or do the things that you cannot do. Reduce risk of making your plan. Make it firm, for example dont buy get property that beyond your limit budget.
• Practicality. Make a budget for your plan. If you will own a house, you need to make payments. Make sure you have extra savings too. Count the total coast of your plan, make sure you can do on time payments for your house.
• Maintenance. Maintain Gods blessing. Your house is a blessing from God, make sure you alot budget for maintenance of your house like you can fix your gutters or paints anytime you need maintenance.

The truth is you cannot have your own home if you would not work hard now and plan to get a home of your own. Dreams house do come true if you believe you can and God will transcend that dream to reality. 

Yes or No to same-sex marriage?

I am sadden of the news regarding legalization of same-sex marriage in California. Even President Barrack Obama supported it, I am deeply worried of whats next after California. I have my reasons to object the legalization and gays and lesbians have their owns reasons too to support it. Read on:

Gays and Lesbian Reasons to YES to same-sex marriage:

1. They said Gay and lesbians marriage is worth because of love.
2. Gay and Lesbian marriage decrease divorced rate? - According to fasttopten.com, more than 50% of married couples in the United States get divorced. Allowing gays the opportunity to get married will increase marriage rates because less couples will get divorced due to incompatibility or infertility.
3. Because Gay Marriage is already a reality- Based on statistics in US, millions of gay partners already practice monogamous, loving relationships.
4.Separation of Church and State - This major reasons that gay marriage is currently illegal is due to the religious interpretation that "homosexuals are sinners." They said legalizing gay marriage will have no impact on religion  and just as religion should not have any impact on the issue of gay marriage.
5. Social Acceptance-  Legalizing gay marriage will help to establish a social norm that includes and respects homosexual lifestyles.

 Reasons to NO to same-sex marriage:

1.No love - I am sorry to all who would not understand my thoughts, but how can someone call Love to a same-sex partner.
How can you give love to marriage? Biblical speaking, marriage is the lifetime union of a man and a woman (Ephesians 5:23-33.) Satisfying each other in love, in building family and sex? Forgive me but I cannot picture a woman to woman sex or a man to man sex.
2. Divorce rate is not reasons to allow same-sex marriage- How easy for others to blame the divorce rate to have positive outlook on same-sex marriage. It simply no divorce rate if the law only listen to Bible that no man and woman or married couple be separate by man. Now they also want a law to approve same-sex marriage. Why don't they just fix the law on marriage. No to divorce, No same-sex marriage!
3. Reality of Gays and Lesbians relationships- I simply believe the word from the Bible: God created a man in his own image, in the image of God he created him male and female he created them (Genesis1:27).  It's clear to say that there should not have relationship between same-sex other than friendship.
4.There is separation of church and states in this matter - Because why would church give a big deal to a matter that it is not to be meant, even in time of Jesus. Christians and  Catholics alike known the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. God hates homosexual sins that  controlled the city so he destroy the whole city.
5. Same-sex marriage is a sin -Leviticus 18:22  describes that homosexual sex as an abomination, a detestable sin. Homosexual desires and actions is shameful, unnatural, lustful, and indecent (Romans 1:26-27). Homosexuals are unrighteous and will not inherit the kingdom of God (1Corinthians 6:9) 
So, stop the debate homosexuals “marriage” is not pleasing to Gods eyes.
6. Social Acceptance- I know someone who is gay, he do what he needs to do to  contribute good to society, to his family and friends.
It is not true that lesbian and gays has no social acceptance nowadays. I know the society has accepted everyone man, woman, lesbian and gay. It depends on how you would like to be treated as persons.
If you want to be treated as no body or a persons of no value act like no value. If you want to be respected as a person act as a person with dignity and value, but be married with same-sex is too much for social acceptance.

Who's looking for a wife?

I do my devotion this morning, I listened to our pastor regarding his daily devotional video about a noble woman in Proverbs 31:11-14 from cathedralofpraise.com.ph.
It's really amazing how I felt after daily devotions, its like a feeling of being refresh again, charge again as like battery low has charge again and ready to do daily life again as wife and mother. My Bible is a great help for guidance, a great friend indeed plus a devotional teachings.

Now that I'm 10 years married to my husband Francis the devotional teaching from our pastor is it's not a question now of whom I am going to marry,  but  as I watched and listen  to the video the questions  for me runs as ; "would I still in right track doing what I have to do as wife and a mom two my two lovely girls, based on Proverbs 31:11"? Because nothing I want do more but to be a good wife and a mom to my kids.
I really love this verse Proverbs 31:10-11 a wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husbands has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. I pray I can do this for always.

Listening to this devotional video makes me wanna share the thought to every single man who's looking for a wife because I believe that not only women should look for a good quality of a husband but men too. I believe that every man should find a wife based on Bible principle and every woman too, so that every family would be happy and strong.

This devotional video about finding a wife, gives some basic qualities of a wife should be: And every single man should asks these questions for themselves before marrying a woman:

1. Is she have great character?
2. What kind of a woman Is she?
3. Is she has integrity?
4. Is she loyal to you?
5. Is she an honest woman?

Remember guys cute faces and beautiful faces fades but a quality of a noble woman stays forever. You will marry a woman whom you will spend much of your talking and time. A partner that would determines the patern of your childrens behaviour for the rest of your life.
 Make the best effort to know her better and pray for her if she is the right one for you.

Three characters of a wise child

Today I want to talk to youngster, kids and teenagers. I want to share something that can make your parents happy and be proud of you: Simply just be Wise and possess these characters traits from Bible teachings.

Three characters of a wise child:

1. Listening - A wise child always listen to their parents. The Bible says in Proverbs 13:1 A wise child heeds his father's instruction, but a mocker does not listen to rebuke. 

Proverbs 23:19 Listen, my son and be wise, and keep your heart on the right path. 

As a mom I can say: What a joy to parents to know their children listen to them. I always  told this to my 11 years and 7 years old daughters, "remember that no father and mother would ask their child to be bad."

A friend will be there for you, but your parents is100% always be there for you no matter what happen.Sometimes parents made mistakes too for running everything in your life but I am sure 99.99 percent of the time parents love their child and they always wants best for you. Believe it or not listening to your parents can make you do right thing 99.99 percent. It also says Proverbs9:8  listen, my son to your fathers instructions and do not forsake your mothers teaching.

2.Also works when there is something to be done. Child help your parents. The least you can do as child is to help your parents doing chores in your house. Think that these chores will also help you be responsible. For example clean your room, change your bed sheet every three days, it would be a great help you know.
As mom, I always asked my daughters to help me fold the laundry, and rearrange their cabinet. For me teaching my kids folding laundry makes them responsible of their own clothes,  they know where to put dresses and pants, under wears. If I ask them to get one, they don't need to ask me where to get it because they are the one who take care of it.

It always a good feeling to see kids helping me doing my chores. It makes me smile when I see their room neat,  it's like a feeling of accomplishment that they listen to my instructions.

3.Bring joy - Proverbs10:1 A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother.  Every child birth is a joy to his parents and believe me all parents wants to keep that joy even after you become parent your self.
Proverbs 23:15 My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad.
As parents nothing I can explain for these words to my kids but: Be wise in everything you do my child: In having friends, in following discipline, be responsible in every actions you do, face the consequences of your actions, be good and always have a pure heart in everything. This make my heart glad as parent.
I am sure every mother and father agree when I say that every parents speaks " I always want the best for my child" and in able to do this as child you need to obey your parents for this is right  Ephesians 6:1.
Proverbs27:11 Be wise my son and bring joy to my heart; then I can answer anyone who treats me with contempt.

Having great relationship with your parents is something that you can always do everyday and I am sure every parents agree that they want their children to be friends with them even they grow up.
Be wise and make your parents happy for the rest of their lives.

How to be a Father?

Now my kids are growing up the more I realize that I need my husband beside me to help me raising our two girls. But due to work abroad as seaman, he always needs to leave us and come back every after 10 months and leave us again after six weeks of rest/vacation.
Sometimes, I envy some kids that they don't need to grow without their father beside them.

I am sadden in the situation that the father of my home needs to leave us to give our children a better future. More moms can relate with this, but we need to be strong to times that we cannot talked to him, be at peace with time we are not together, keep praying  and watch my children grow with my own discipline ways and teaching.

 I am truly glad that there always been a help from our relatives and teaching from our church Cathedral of Praise where I can get inputs on how to be father/parents to my girls, I will surely share this to my husband and to everyone:

1. Instruct your kids- No one can carefully instruct your kids like you do. As a father you have the right and responsibility to give instructions to your kids while they are growing up.
 It is in the Bible that father must give faithful instructions to their kids so that they will not be astray (Proverbs18).
Always teach them the fear of the Lord (Deuteronomy6:7-9). While they are small train them in walk with God (Ephesians6:4).

2. Provide for your children - As a father it is your responsibility to provide for your children.  Meaning every father should work hard for the needs of their children. No BUT'S! No questions ask! It is not a mother's part. It is written in the Bible that father should work for the family (1Timothy5:8). It is frame ware of a father to be a provider.

3. Discipline your child - If you love and care for your child you must discipline him. Not that you are you re going to spank him all the time he made a mistakes but be there to teach him a lessons and consequences of his actions. What kind of a father you are if you would not think and care to discipline your child (Hebrew2).

4. Father needs to lavish love for there children - (1John3:1) It is clear lavish love for your children. I believe in the words that we should enjoy our kids while they are young.
Same as father, you have to let your love be felt by your child. Always give your boys a bear hug, tell them that you are always there for them, tell them that you love them not only in work but speak it in words.

Kid's needs a loving care of their father not only a mother. This is a strong word that all men should know.
As parents we should always be praying for our kids, for above all materials things they needed in life, your prayer is all they need for always. Being a parents is a responsibility not a work title.

Train up your a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs22:6

Your Faith and Your Destiny

I been trying to understand lately of what is destiny and what is faith. As a born again christian, I been thought that faith is something you can receive when you believe you can have it and it will reveal to your destiny. But sometimes I have to remind myself that destiny comes by strong faith, and faith needs personal relationship with God.
I attended the last Cathedral of Praise-Kasagaan and Business Managers Executive Fellowship (COP-KBF) www.cathedralofpraise.com.ph and I learn a lot from our undersheperd Pastor David Sumrall's teaching about faith and destiny, it makes me want to learn more. Truly hearing a good news makes spirit grow.

Faith
Faith is something we can hope for to happen. Faith is word comes from the Bible? Something that you believed that can be done. Faith is substitute word for belief,  hope and trust.
From http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faith Faith is confidence or trust in a person, thing, deity, or in the doctrines or teachings of a religion. It may also be belief that is not based on proof.
Based in religion, faith often involves accepting claims about the character of a deity, nature, or the universe. While some have argued that faith is opposed to reason, proponents of faith argue that the proper domain of faith concerns questions which cannot be settled by evidence.

Faith comes by hearing the word of God everyday (Romans10:17). If you want to grow your faith make an everyday practice to pray (Psalm5:3), read your Bible and hear the word as much as possible and watch God to turn your life new.

Destiny
Every one of us has a destiny. Destiny should come by faith. "Destiny comes 100 percent from God." Pastor Sumrall said.
Whatever you do in life, you're destiny will be there for you. It's is not determine by economic crisis and it cannot be hindered by anybody, it cannot be control by anyone.

God is a good God, he promised that he will do it and he will do it no matter what. We need to believe what He promised. God is faithful and he will not promise what he cannot do. All we need to do is continue to live right. Now, I am telling to my self to relax and live a life according to God's commands.


Guaranteed from God and not by your doings
Destiny will come into your life no matter what you do. If it is your destiny to be sharing God's goodness, you cannot run from it. Maybe it will delayed because of wrong decision and other circumstances in life but you cannot run from it. Destiny will delayed but not denied.
We should remember that God plan the lives of people before they are born (Jeremiah1:5).

Like King David in the Bible we should always ask God's mercy and ask God to help us to go on with your faith towards your destiny. God works everything out for his plan (Proverbs16:4).

I am excited now for my destiny and through faith I know it will happen. How about you whats your faith telling you about your destiny?

Seven Ways to achieve long life

I have a great time this weekend at the church with my kids watching teens musicale Bay Six of Life. A musicale for everyone who wants to set priorities on higher things like serving God at early age. It is so amazing to see wonderful teenagers praising and sharing God's goodness and I am bless and privileged to hear good news every week.
This week, I have a chance to know the secrets of having a long life; and it is not a secret after all, it is open to public who wants to have a long quality life according to the Bible from the teaching of our Undershepered, Pastor David Sumall of Cathedral of Praise (cathedralofpraise.com.ph), let me share it to you.

The Seven ways to have a long life:

1. Honor your Father and Mother- Believe it or not this is the first way to have a long life and it is written in the Bible in Ephesians 6:2-3 Honor your father and mother - which is the first commandment with a promise-that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."  If you want to live a long life you must honor not only your father or mother but both of them.
2. Listen to your father and mother- As a parent, I am happy to know that this includes here. It is so easy do to if you truly honor your father and mother. It says in Proverbs 3:1-2  My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. What a promised it will prolong our life and a prosperity! 
3. Respect God / Fear of the Lord - The fear of the Lord clearly says that it adds numbers to your life. Proverbs 10:27 The fear of the Lord adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short.  Which is your choice fear the Lord or be wicked?
4. Obedience to Gods commands - Of course if you have fear of the Lord, nothing can stop you to obey his commands and it says in Deuteronomy 6:2 so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by obeying all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life.
5. Wisdom-  Proverbs 9:10 -11 The fear of the Lord  is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.  For through me your days will be many and years will be added to your life. Who loves wisdom finds life. That's so clear right?
6. Life that worship God- As your life goes on, you have to have a life that worship God and if you do that he will bless your life.  Exodus 23:25  Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will  be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.  So good to know that God bless us not only prosperity but he will not give us sickess when we worship him.
7. Take care of your body- If you love your life you have to take care of your body. Don't smoke, don't drink alcohol. Drink your vitamins and do your exercise.  The Bible says we have a life length of seventy years and it is your responsibility to take care of your body. Psalm 90:10 The length of our days is seventy years- or eigthy, if we have strength; yet their span is trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass and we fly away.

Everyone wants a long life, and it's clear in the Bible on how to do, just easy as one to seven ways to do it. Enjoy long life!

Living Life

Happy wife, Happy life! Wife of Noble Character.

Wife in great value.
We defined wife as a complete picture of mother, the better half and a spouse.
According to Wikipedia (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wife ) wife is a female lifetime partner.

My point of the word, wife must posses with good qualities and joggling of being a mom, wife and working.
But what exactly a character of a complete wife, mother or woman or spouse?

People says that you can't be a perfect wife if you did not see yourself growing in a marriage, and cannot be a complete woman if you don't experienced to be a wife, mother an a partner. A one whole package!

As I do my Bible reading and devotion and stopped in Proverbs 31:10-31 the Epilogue: Wife of Noble Character, http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs+31%3A10-31&version=NIV. I thought to my self then: "there is a thing wife teaching in the Bible?" After reading, it ends up all my simple perceptions of woman and wife today that should be classy and adorned.
May i share it to you:   The Bible principles of wife in noble character: "

“Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”

Wife: (Proverbs30:10-12) worth as Diamond.
Being a woman and wife you should worth far more the rubies (Proverbs 30:10). You get married simply because your husband asked you to be his wife.
Meaning you are worthy of his love, you are his important jewels! You possesses qualities that your husband is looking for a wife, that's why he marry you. Viceversa, you marry him because he has all the qualities that you want for a husband. Otherwise you will not agreed to be with a man who cannot be your man!
Remember, you will never be a wife of your husband not until he asked you to be his wife.
Be greatful and be happy because not all women asked by a man to be his wife, vowed to be his better half forever. Be deserved to called as his wife.

Be married is a blessing from God.

Built your husband trust.
Build your husband confidence (Proverbs30:11) in everything you do. You are his better half, a right word to described "his".
When he is away, make sure he will never worry because he knows he can trust you in everything. His kids, house, bank, his future.
Why will you ruin his trust anyways if he gives it to you?
If we look around and sees old couples, you will amazed that they stayed strong and loved each other; because they trust each other.

Biblical principles is clear,  be a wife with high respect of your self. Don't be a woman who cannot be trusted. For example, when your husband is working hard, keep his earnings
safe and be sees it within your house, with you and kids. Weather its big or small earnings show him that you can do the budgeting and enjoyed the pleasures of his hard work. In that way, he will work harder to give you more because you care and used his earnings wisely. The key word is don't waste!

Shine like a Diamond.
Be your husband ego. Aside from being on his side all the time, let your husband be proud of you and let him be a man who respected by many because you always do good  in everything for him (Proverbs30:23).

Don't make things that can cause him to be ashamed of you as her wife. A simple example; Don't get drunk around with his friends! Be your best always, talk wisely around people, avoid street talks. As simple as living right.
Bring your self confidence too on what you are wearing and been doing when you are out with your friends. it is important that you always look good, always smart and clean. Be better because you are with his name, remember.
Do you want others to tell you, "you look better before without your husband"?

Be his owned Love
Do you want your husband to value you as his own? Surround him with love , care and faithfulness so that he will make your life secure (Proverbs 20:28). Personally, I don't think a wife can cheat with her husband if she truly love him.
Both man and women in marriages cheats because they simply allow to be Tempted. The Bible says (Genesis 3:1-6) temptations comes from Satan, and getting involved with other man rather your husband is avoidable (Proverbs 7:1-5). Keep away from it, there are ways to run from it (1Corintians 10:13).

Always pick your battles.
Do not waste your energy in starting a fight! (Proverbs21:19) Constant nagging and nitpicking can cause sadness in your home. Avoid complaining even in small things.
Rather than nagging your husband of the things he cannot do, focus your mind on how to help him and start to show him the most important things that need to be done.
You are his life partner, isn't hard to argue over on everything.
The number one causes of separation among married couples are fighting over silly little things that gets bigger and bigger as the kids grow.

If you want your husband to shows his vulnerability and be his best friend, show kindness to him everyday. Be a cheerful wife not a nagging wife. Good words can uplift spirits (Proverbs 16:24).

Pray together.

Having close relationship with God will help you manage your married life. God's love will also give you grace to forgive your husband when he has mistakes or viceversa.
Spend each day a time of prayer to open your hearts for his love and guidance. Nothing can be done in your life if God is not the center of your marriage.
Prayer is powerful,  you have to sealed it in Jesus name!  

Happy wife, Happy life

Marriage is no guaranteed of happy ever after. But there is a thing as happy wife, happy life. If the wife is happy, every home is guaranteed happy.
Its is your choice as a woman to make your marriage happy and fulfilled. Don't  give your husband reasons to be sorry that you are his wife. It takes two to tango the saying goes, but Bible teaches us the right ways how to be a wife. A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised (Proverbs30:31).

Miracles needs participation!

Miracles needs your hard work!

A thought that will give us an idea that miracles cannot be done until you do the works of your hand.
The Bible teaches us to have faith but you need to do the working to see the miracles to happen.
Pastor David Sumrall says in his daily devotional video at www.cathedralofpraise.com.ph/ and www.youtube.com/cathedralofpraisetv that miracle only happen when the man do their part.

Miracles is not surprised!
When we do pray, we ask God to give what we want and stay waiting for it to happen overtime.
The Bible clearly says we should ask God for help (Psalm 40:13) and he will do it for every one who has faith in him. But it also says in the word that we should do hard work, for hard work will supply all your every needs (Proverbs28:19).

Pastor Sumrall said "The miracle happens only after when the man do theiNJr part."
Meaning you simply cannot just get your dream house, dream car, dream business and dreams whosoever if you were just sleeping all day long in your apartment. And then blame God and nag God why bad things happened so bad in your life.
Your hard work brings rewards (Proverbs12:14) so why stop working and be rrewarded.

Faith is dead without work!
Yes we all know that we believed God. We all have our excuses to say that we are believers of words.
Yet if you did not practice your believing theres no faith (Genesis 15:6). Faith comes from hearing the word of God everyday. You and I need to do devotion or daily Bible reading so we can meditate on Gods word for us everyday to guide us.
"God do his part, after man do his part! When we put works into faith and we do the thing we should do, God will do what he will do for your life." Pastor Sumrall said.

It is clearly said in the Bible lazy people starves and laziness bring poverty (Proverbs6:6).
So whats your choice go to work or be at poverty?

God wants you to work on with your miracles.
Truly nothing we can do if we don't ask God's favor and guidance. Everyday we should ask God to give us wisdom and knowledge in everything we plan and everything we want in our life.
God gives wisdom for those who seek it (James1:5). If we find wisdom, we must  first find God (Proverbs2:6-12). So if you want to be guided by God's sure ways, you must work to know Gods word.

Participate on your faith.
Don't wait for surprised miracles! Like Moses who put his shaft in the sea to give way for Israelites, or Lazarus who get back after three days of being dead (Jonh11:38-41), God wants us to do something to fulfilled his promised in our life, do the working!
Plus live right, stop sinning; adultery, lying, drunkenness, laziness, greed or anything that hindered blessings of God.
Jesus hate sin because it has destructive consequences (Genesis3:11-19), and we should avoid doing it (James4:17).
Get involved with your faith and watch God to provide miracles in your life now!

Prayer for success

Everyone wants to have a perfect life, but struggles always come on our ways and we sometimes give in to troubles; loosing our self doing nothing and just waiting for failure come.
But why we need to wait for failure if we can pray ahead of time to protect your plan from failing?

• God's plan rooted , not your plan

Ever since the beginning God has a purposed in our life (Genesis1:1). You and I need to accept that God's plan is far better than our plan.
 If you pray seek the purposed of God in your life because if it is not his purposed it can't ever happen no matter hard work you made. The Bible says in John5:19 Jesus gave them an answer, "I tell you the truth the son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his father doing because whatever the father does the son also does.

• Place of prayer

Where do you pray? In the mall, in your kitchen, in the market? To have God to answer you with your prayer, you need to read your Bible in a place where you can communicate with him with your heart. Pastor David Sumrall says on one of his daily devotions teaching on http://m.youtube.com/#/cathedralofpraiseTV "Pray in the place where you could be answer."

• Jesus answers your prayers

Believe it or not God answers your prayer. He hears us when we pray if we are not purposely sinning (Micah3:4) God is not slow to answer. He is God and everything and anything he can do his purpose and he is quick to answer. Remember that prayer is powerful (James5:16)

• Keep silent

After praying,  keep quiet, shout your mouth and silently observe how God will answered your prayer. Pastor Sumrall said: "sometimes we scares answered prayer away. Sit back and watch God how he will do it"

• Give thanks to God

When everything has been in properly arranged with your life, and God's plan has been full-filled, come back to God and worship him with all your heart. Don't forget to give thanks to him for he answers your prayer. "People get more miracles when they know how to go back and say thank you (Luke17)" Pastor Sumrall ended.

So what are you waiting for, start praying for your success!

We need to get back to the basics of life
A heart that is pure and a love that is blind
Faith that is pervently grounded in Christ
Hope that endures for all times

God's word

This is a strong word from God that awaken my senses while doing my daily devotions and watching our Undersheperd Pastor David Sumrall talks on http://m.youtube.com/user/cathedralofpraiseTV.

I stalked at the moment to the word, "stop sinning or something worse might happen to you" and in my understanding, if I keep sinning something worst may come into my life.
Was it a warning, I thought to myself?
They say that if you felt the word it is you that had been spoken to.
It must be really me?! I 'am scared because I don't want anything worse to happen in my life. But when I go on deeper reading to my Bible, I realized that the word was not to scared me, but to understand that God is giving me guidance to live a righteous life, so that I may live a life abundantly.

Never to scares God's word
The word of God is an encouraging words to lift your spirit everyday.Jesus can give us peace (Romans 5:1) and we can have peace through prayer (Philippians 4:47). God is giving us wisdom and knowledge to have better understanding of life. His words is not to condemn us but to enlighten us (Psalm119:105).

Sword from the word
God's word is a sharp double edged swords that penetrates even to the dividing soul and spirit joints and narrow; it judge judges thoughts and attitudes of the ( Hebrews 4:12).
Hearing God's word makes every ones heart melt, my heart beat faster every time he talked to me through my bible. Now, it makes me to reflect again of the things I do and not do in my present life while God is blesses me of the things I wanted to.

Stop sinning
When God blesses your life stop sinning. Pastor Sumrall said, "when God given you miracles, healing in your bodies and make your financial situations around and done incredible things for you, the best response is to live a righteous life. (Romans1:1) The goodness of the Lord bring repentance."
"You and I need to understand that when we are sinning we lift the hedge of God's protections around us "he added.

Obey God to abundant life
God will never hold all good things to those who obey and love him, his love endures forever (Psalm 107:1). He always promised you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11)if you will carefully obey his words.

What faith can do
Through everyday prayer and devotions, you will develop your faith and attitude towards understanding God. Faith comes from hearing the word of God and put us in a right relationship with God (Romans5:1, Romans10:17).


Fear of God
Fear of God is the is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs1:7) this words makes me smile again because I fear God alone (Psalm25:12), and he give me an assurance again that God will protect me (Genesis15:1).
God gave me a warning not to sin for worst thing might happen in my life if i keep sinning, yet he promised that he helps his people keep from sin (Psalm19:13).

Love God.
To love God is to hate evil. You and I cannot continue sinning if we love God because God hates evildoer (Psalm26:5).

Choice
To sin or not to sin. These is our choices, To live a life abundantly with God's mercy and love or to live in life without God's secured loved. Which one you will pick?

Ask, Seek & Knock!

What to pray?

Everyday we think of things we need to survive daily lives like food, work, clothes, house, money, ect.

Everyday you go to your work, you do your chores in your house, and provably finishes your day with busy mind working out for something again for tomorrow. All your time has devoted to do your everyday thing, not realizing that you finished a whole week without a time to prayer and simply ask God to give you all these things for your life.

But did you know that there is only three prayers that we need to pray everyday to get all the blessings that we need in our life.

As the Bible says in Luke 11:9-10 So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knocks the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

As easy as Ask, Seek and knock!

1. Ask God : whatever you ask in prayer it will be given to you. So pray whatever you need. "You do not ask, thats why you do not have." Said Pastor David E. Sumrall, Undersheperd of Cathedralof Praise, Manila Philippines. Learn to be specific with your prayer. And believe that God will give it to you on time.
2. Seek God:  As you live your life, seek relationship with God. Prayer time is the time where you can talk to God. From a chistian perspective; "prayer time is important part of your life because it is the only time that you can communicate and open your hearts to Jesus."  in one of his devotional teaching https://itunes.apple.com/ph/podcast/cathedral-of-praiseregular and from http://m.youtube.com/user/cathedralofpraiseTV He says it is necessity to pray everyday and have relationship with God.  You should have a place of solitude to pray everyday to open your hearts to God.
3. Knock: The opportunity comes, as you do asking and seeking God. But you still need to knock to open that oppurtunity. Meaning you still need to work hard or find that doors of oppurtunity while praying. Remember that God blesses the work of your hand,  no hard work, no blessings.

Now that you are ready, watch the Lord how He will open door and pour opputunities for you.

Five way tests to great life!

Everyone wants to achieve good life for a lifetime, but as life goes to struggles and hardships, we get tired overtime and through the years we end up watching ourself became a failure.
But the Lord promised us a good plan for our life, and how to unlock the ways of how to have a successful life is always there waiting for you to see God's faithfulness in your life.

Pastor David Sumrall , undershepered of Cathedral of Praise said in his devotional teaching at twitter.com/PtrDavidSumrall said "When hard times comes it is good time to remember that your wonderful Heavenly Father has plan for you (Jeremiah 29:11)."

Sumrall also talks on his Vision teaching from www.youtube.com/cathedralofpraisetv that if you would learn to "take out the limits of your mind and recognized that God can do abundantly beyond everything and anything more than you could asked or imagine. You will see  that you have a great God".

Here is five tests to know of if its really a God's plan for your life or not:

1. If it is from God it will be better (Hebrew 11:40)
2. If it is from God it will give you hope (Jeremiah 29:11)
3. If it is from God it will give you a future (Jeremiah 29:11)
4. If it is from God it will give you joy (Proverbs 10:28)
5. If it is from God it will have a sense of permanence ( Genesis13:14-28)

God is a God of mercy and a God of hope, we must trust his words that if it is from Him it would be in perfect timing of blessings more than we could never imagine.

Always remember that God is never ever wanting you to be failure of this life. He wants to bless you with his Great plan!
